In celebration of International Women’s Day, the company “Capgemini – Morocco,” in partnership with the Office of Cooperation Development, organized a solidarity market at their locals in Casablanca, Nearshore  from Tuesday, March 12th to Thursday, March 14th, 2024, to showcase local women’s cooperatives and provide them with a platform for promoting and selling their products.

Several selected cooperatives participated in the Solidarity Market, presenting a wide range of products from traditional handicrafts to fashion items to agri-food products. Each stand was a unique showcase of the artistic and entrepreneurial skills of Moroccan women, highlighting their creativity, expertise, and determination.

Among the participating cooperatives were various initiatives, such as women’s groups specializing in traditional textile production, the processing of local agricultural products, the manufacture of decorative items, and more. Each exhibited product was the result of the hard work and passion of the women behind the cooperatives, who have turned their skills into tangible economic opportunities.

Beyond the event itself, this initiative has laid the groundwork for ongoing collaboration between women’s cooperatives and economic development stakeholders. By facilitating market access and strengthening the capacities of women entrepreneurs, such initiatives contribute to creating an ecosystem conducive to women’s empowerment and inclusive economic growth.
