On Tuesday, December 26th, 2023, the Bouregreg Congress Palace in Salé hosted the third edition of the National Prize of « Generation of Solidarity ». 

This event, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Handicraft, and the Social and Solidarity Economy (MTAESS) and the Office of Cooperation Development (ODCO), honored young cooperative projects and youth cooperatives that have demonstrated commitment and innovation in their initiatives.

The ceremony was presided by  the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatima-Zahra Ammor, who stated, ‘We are placing great emphasis on the cooperative movement, which already comprises 1,500 youth cooperatives.’

This third edition highlighted the theme ‘Youth Cooperatives: Leveraging Innovation and Driving Sustainable Development.’ This theme shed light on the crucial role of cooperatives in shaping a sustainable and innovative future. In total, 31 cooperatives, including 4 projects were awarded. Madam Aicha Errifaai, the General Director of ODCO, highlighted the significance of this event in supporting youth cooperatives and project leaders.

Among the partners of this 3rd edition were the regions of Fes-Meknes, Guelmim-Oued-Noun, and the Oriental, as well as the OCP Foundation, ATW- Dar Al Moukawil, CIH Bank, Cosumar, Copag, and Jaida.
