Madam Aicha ERRIFAAI, the General Director of the Office of Cooperation Development, participated on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in the opening of the 11th edition of the “Timizart” Silver Festival in the city of Tiznit, under the theme: “Silver craftsmanship, identity, creativity, and development.”

The Timizart festival offers an annual opportunity to highlight the culture and heritage aspects of the city of Tiznit related to the silver craft. This material heritage, elevated as a symbol of civilization, constitutes a powerful driver of development for the city of Tiznit, both socially, economically, and in terms of tourism.

The inauguration took place in the presence of the Governor of His Majesty The King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, in the province of Tiznit, Madam the Deputy to the President of the Souss Massa Regional Council, the President of the Tiznit Provincial Council, the President of the Tiznit Municipal Council, as well as the Festival Director.

Madam Errifaai, the General Director of the Office seized this opportunity during her speech to emphasize the importance of the cooperative movement in structuring the artisanal sector, while highlighting the role played by the Office in supporting and assisting cooperatives to ensure inclusive, comprehensive, and sustainable development.
It should be noted that this edition, which runs from August 23 to August 28, is organized by the “Timizart” Association in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, the Souss-Massa region, the provincial council, and the municipal council of Tiznit. It brings together the participation of more than50 exhibitors from Morocco and abroad.
